I super suck at this blogging thing!

For the billionth time I have been told that I my crazy ideas need an outlet. So, once again I am going to give it a shot.

I guess it has been a couple of years since I have posted, and I really need to update things on here. My kids are a lot bigger now, my eldest starts junior high in september! My middle monkey will be hitting grade 2 and my youngest will be going to kindergarten. I myself am still doing as always, everything I can to be a working single mama, while being able to stay at home with them. Reading too much, working too hard, and not getting enough downtime. Really though, when I do get downtime, I never know what to do with myself!

Expect more from me later, but now, I'm off to stop Kiki from bingo daubbing the walls, and drink more coffee. I'll plan a post too. Promise.

Yesterday, my youngest daughter chose her very own outfit. All by herself. She is so big now, and I am feeling very bittersweet about the whole growing up thing.

So, she picked out the weirdest outfit. She chose this little dress, with matching shorts that I love...and rubber boots....and babylegs that she insisted go on her arms. Then a red bandana for her head.

Oh? Whats that? You wanna see this creation?

Well you are in luck, I took pics of the whole event yesterday. We went to my sisters house and decorated her garage for her birthday. My gosh all the kids are so big now. Wow.

I love this picture, because you can still see a tiny bit of the baby that is inside my 2 yr old. Well, and the full glory of the fashionista coming out!

Yeah....I suck at blogging

I am working on it though. I am going to try and post at least once a week. Probably on thursdays. You see, I have this weird rule that I can't watch LOST untill I have done certain things. Like, say...vacuming! or washing the kitchen floor.

That way, in theory I get stuff done, cause I really love LOST.

However I have noticed that it dosen't work for other shows. Then I just end up redirecting my rules. I won't do the chore I set out, and I will go on the computer instead. But I won't turn on the tv cause my rules said I couldn't until I did the chore.

Its dumb I know.

But If I decide that I can't watch LOST until I post here, it should work!

In theory.....

The big clean up!

I have been a bit absent here...sorry. I have been de-cluttering my house. I reorganized my entire kitchen, and got rid of many appliances of Freecycle. Everything now fits in the cupboards! Woo Hoo! I also did my upstairs bathroom, and got rid of an entire bookshelf that was taking up space! It was supposed to be for towels, and extra shampoos, but we all know how that goes! Now it is beautiful! I will post pics so ya'll can see!

This is one of those days.

You know the kind? When you feel really lonely? Misunderstood?

You do all you can to hold it together and all you want to do is disappear. Nothing goes right.

Gotta love the Farmers Market!

We were supposed to go to the zoo today, but we all got waylaid. The phone company was supposed to call me, and I had to wait.

They never called.

Since I don't like waiting around, we are changing plans.

We are going to the Farmers Market!

There is a nice close little one near where I live. It is 2 min away from where the girls have swimming lessons. My secret plan is to take the Butterbean and Mugsy to swimming, and then KiKi and I will get dolled up in the sling, and go shopping!

Last year I bought a huge onion. I mean huge. Three of my fists big!

You know what it cost me? $1.

I remember how awesome it smelled in my basket as we rode home on the bus. The scent of that shiny globe wafted through the bus. It wasn't a make your eyes water smell....it was a make your tummy rumbley smell. Slightly sweet, pure, like it had taste to it. Almost like you could just bite into it. The difference between local organic veggies and the kind you buy at Safeway is huge. Just like the size of that onion.

I also bought an Ostrich egg.

I saved up my pennies for that fun buy. $15 for an egg sounds like a horrible price, until you notice that it is the size of a baby's head.

Those eggs are hard to open! I wanted to save the beautiful shell, so I decided to poke a hole in the end and shake out the eggy bits.

That is when I found out you can't "poke" an ostrich egg.

I ended up getting a sharp paring knife, and twisting the end into the shell. I had to slowly shave away bits of shell until I had a nice pencil size hole. I put a straw into the hole, and blew. The egg filled my mixing bowl! Filled it! I stirred it a bit, and froze about 2/3rds of the egg. Then I made scrambled eggs.

I have a family of 5, but half that egg was saved for the next day. It was much more filling than a chicken egg.

I wonder what I will find today?
